The Cura Day Hospitals Group today announced that it had successfully completed the purchase of Kawana Private Hospital.

Cura’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Peter Freeleagus, said, “We are delighted to have Kawana Private as part of the Cura Group. The hospital has an excellent reputation for quality patient care provided by both the Surgeons and its qualified and experienced staff. We extend a very warm welcome to Kawana’s Doctor Surgeons and hospital staff joining the Cura Group.”

Patients requiring diagnostic or remedial procedures can be attended to by Specialists in the fields of Ophthalmology, Maxillofacial, Gastroenterology Plastic, and Orthopaedic. Colorectal and General Surgeons provide services to the residents of the Sunshine Coast.

Kawana Private Hospital is located in the Sunshine Coast’s growth corridor and is ideally located near the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, which is currently under construction.

Mr Freeleagus said.

The inclusion of Kawana Private Hospitals in the Cura Day Hospitals Group brings the number of hospitals owned by Cura to eight, combining a mix of multidisciplinary facilities and specialist units.
