Sunshine Coast Day Surgery Welcomes New CEO/Director of Nursing

Cura Day Hospitals Group is pleased to announce Melinda Taylor has been appointed CEO/Director of Nursing at Sunshine Coast Day Surgery.

Melinda has more than 15 years of experience in both the private and public sector, most recently as a nurse unit manager.

Cura Day Hospitals Group CEO Andrew Currie said her dedication to being an effective leader and her initiative when it comes to improving processes is what made her a stand out applicant.

“Sunshine Coast Day Surgery strives for excellence in every way and with her extensive career background I am confident Melinda will uphold these values and continue to create an environment where patient care is number one priority,” Mr Currie said.

“Melinda is passionate about ensuring all her staff are well trained, happy within their role, feel supported and have a healthy work-life balance.”

Melinda also holds a wide range of qualifications including a bachelor of nursing, a bachelor of business management and a masters of nursing leadership in health.

“She will be a great addition to the Sunshine Coast Day Surgery team and we are all looking forward to what lies ahead under her leadership,” 

Mr Currie said.

“Melinda not only has exceptional standards when it comes to safety and care, but also fosters a great team environment for all staff.”

Sunshine Coast Day Surgery offers a broad range of procedures including Ophthalmology, Gastroenterology, Gynaecology and IVF, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Hand Surgery and Dental.
